Grupo Pluma arrives to bring the distribution of Dekalb in Argentina to the next level

Since 2010, the Dekalb White and Brown lines have been present in Argentina, experiencing steady growth. This expansion accelerated in 2018 with the nationwide efforts led by Sebastián Noguera. This progress has been driven by the remarkable characteristics of the Dekalb genetics: high viability, exceptional egg shell quality beyond 100 weeks, and impressive egg laying persistency above 90%. On top of that we can add the resilience of a true warrior!

However, despite this growth, Dekalb has not yet achieved the market share in Argentina that its excellence and success in other countries truly deserve. To take on this new challenge, Grupo Pluma (through its local entity, Pluma Agrícola SAS) has entered the market with the support of Hendrix Genetics, building on the national presence established by Cabaña Avícola Modelo.

Grupo Pluma brings extensive expertise in breeding and incubation, years of experience developing the Dekalb and Hisex lines in Brazil through Pluma Gen, and a proven ability to scale and expand businesses. The foundation of any growth strategy is earning the absolute trust of customers. This means delivering high-quality day-old chicks to large-scale industrial operations. Pluma achieves this by professionalizing every aspect of the business, ensuring both visible customer-facing excellence and operational precision, supported by an advanced corporate culture.

Market expectations for Pluma Agrícola in Argentina are high, especially at a time when demand for production is increasing. Thanks to the efforts of the Capia producers’ association, Argentina continues to set new records in housed bird numbers and egg consumption each year.

As we enter this new chapter in Argentina, we are proud to have the ongoing support of the Hendrix Genetics leadership and its outstanding technical team. Together, we are committed to helping our customers reach the impressive premium potential of our champion, Dekalb - delivering over 500 eggs in 100 weeks!
