From September 3 to 5, Hendrix Genetics and Sanfer-IMSA welcomed poultry professionals from across Latin America to the Hendrix Genetics IMSA Seminar 2025, held in Guadalajara, located in Jalisco state—the heart of egg production in Mexico.
The seminar offered a well-balanced program of technical insights, field experiences, and collaborative exchange, all aimed at supporting the region’s egg sector.
The event opened with a warm welcome and a series of targeted presentations, including updates from Hendrix Genetics and the latest trends in the egg sector. Specialists provided insights into laying hen genetics, breeder management, and nutrition. A session on respiratory health and reproductive management added further depth. The social moments offered relaxed opportunities to connect and reflect.
The second day featured a strong mix of science and practice. Topics included in-depth insights into Bovans White genetics, rearing, nutrition, and disease control. Field results presented by Sanfer-IMSA added valuable context, while a specialist from Pas Reform contributed updates on handling hatching eggs, incubation, and recent innovations in the field. The day concluded with a motivational session and informal networking.

The final day began with a presentation by Nan-Dirk Mulder from Rabobank, offering the latest economic outlook for the global egg and poultry industry, with a special focus on Latin America. This was followed by expert sessions on lighting (HATO), day-old chick quality (Pas Reform), cage-free rearing, and climate management. The experts from MOBA shared the latest insights related to egg grading.
To conclude the seminar on a high note, an amazing Mariachi band delivered a vibrant and unforgettable performance. Their music brought everyone together in celebration, adding a joyful and culturally rich finale to an already inspiring event.
The Hendrix Genetics - IMSA Seminar 2025 reaffirmed the importance of regional collaboration and knowledge-sharing in a rapidly evolving industry. With Guadalajara as the backdrop, the event provided a valuable platform for learning, connection, and practical takeaways. It also marked a meaningful step forward in the partnership between Hendrix Genetics and Sanfer-IMSA, strengthening their shared commitment to supporting their customers across the region. As Latin America continues to show strong potential for growth, events like this help ensure the egg industry is well-prepared for a bright and promising future.
